Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use PlumbersWebsites.com, our customer application at app.plumberswebsites.com, and related services that help plumbing business owners create and publish a website (together, the “Service”).
Information you provide
Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:
- Account and sign-in information, including your email address when you request a secure sign-in link. Our sign-in flow is designed to work without a password for the steps described on our sign-in pages.
- Business and website profile information, such as business name, phone number, email (when you choose to supply it), services offered, service areas, business hours, emergency availability, and other details you enter to personalize your site.
- Website configuration choices, such as selecting one of our design layouts and related options offered in the product.
- Communications, when you use the contact form on our marketing website or email us at contact@plumberswebsites.com (for example your name, email address, subject, and message).
Our product is built around information you supply about your plumbing business. You should provide accurate information you are entitled to use, and review your website preview before choosing a paid plan or publishing.
Which fields are required versus optional in the customer application has not been verified in the marketing site source code and may depend on the step you are completing.
Business information, previews, and published websites
We distinguish the following uses of business information:
- Information you submit to create or update your account and website profile.
- Information used to generate a preview so you can review a personalized five-page website before deciding whether to subscribe and publish.
- Information displayed on a published website, which may be visible to anyone on the public internet—for example on an address under the PlumbersWebsites domain, as described in our homepage FAQ.
- Information retained to operate the Service, such as account records, website configuration, and billing-related metadata. What we store in our application databases and for how long has not been verified in this repository.
Content you choose to publish may remain visible publicly until you change it, unpublish it, or your subscription ends as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Copies may persist for a limited time in backups, caches, or logs maintained by us or our infrastructure providers.
Information collected automatically
Marketing website (plumberswebsites.com)
Our marketing pages are static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, or similar marketing or analytics tracking on this marketing site.
Our hosting infrastructure may automatically receive technical data when you load a page—such as IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, and browser or device identifiers sent with the request. Specific log retention periods for our hosting providers have not been documented in this policy.
Cookies and browser storage on the marketing site
We do not plan to show a cookie consent banner on the marketing website. That reflects our current approach to this site’s technologies; it is not a statement that no cookies or storage are used anywhere in the Service. The customer application (below) uses essential browser storage and/or cookies.
Customer application (app.plumberswebsites.com)
When you use app.plumberswebsites.com, sign-in requests may be sent to our
application API (for example, a request to
/api/auth/magic-link with your email address). The sign-in helper on our marketing
site uses credentials: 'omit' for that specific request and does not rely on
browser cookies for sending the magic-link request itself.
The application uses essential browser storage and/or cookies to operate sign-in (including magic links), maintain authenticated sessions, store customer profiles, and manage subscriptions. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or advertising pixels in the application based on our current configuration intent.
We have not published a separate cookie policy or granular cookie inventory for the application. Whether additional non-essential technologies are introduced in the future may affect whether consent or further disclosures are required under applicable law.
How we use information and lawful bases (where applicable)
We use information for purposes that match how the Service works, including to:
- Create and maintain customer accounts.
- Send sign-in links and related authentication messages to the email address you provide.
- Generate website previews and, when eligible, publish customer websites.
- Process subscriptions and recurring payments through our payment provider.
- Respond to contact form submissions and support requests.
- Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with law and enforce our terms, where applicable.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on appropriate lawful bases such as performance of a contract (providing the Service you request), legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service, and responding to inquiries, balanced against your rights), and legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information. Where consent is required for a specific processing activity, we will seek it separately. We do not use your business profile to invent testimonials or claims about your company.
Authentication and email
Account access is initiated with your email address. If the address is eligible, we send a secure sign-in link. Our sign-in page states that the link expires in about 15 minutes and works once, and that we use a similar response whether or not the address is already on file, to reduce email enumeration.
Sign-in and account emails are delivered through email infrastructure chosen for the Service. The specific email provider has not been verified in the marketing repository.
Keep your email account secure. Anyone with access to your inbox may be able to use a sign-in link sent to that address while it is valid.
Payments and subscriptions
Paid plans are $49 per month (billed monthly) or $399 per year (billed annually). You can preview your website before selecting a plan and proceeding to payment.
Checkout and recurring subscription billing are processed through Stripe. Payment card details are collected and handled by Stripe according to its terms and security practices; we do not store full payment card numbers on our marketing site. We may receive and store information such as subscription status, billing period, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers needed to operate your account.
Cancellation, refunds, and what happens to your website when a subscription ends are described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to host and operate the Service, including infrastructure for plumberswebsites.com and the separately hosted customer application at app.plumberswebsites.com.
Categories of providers we use or intend to use include:
- Hosting and infrastructure (for example Cloudflare for the marketing site).
- Payment processing — Stripe, for checkout and recurring subscriptions.
- Contact form delivery — Web3Forms, for messages sent through our marketing contact form.
- Email delivery — for sign-in links, service messages, and contact notifications (specific provider names and data-processing agreements have not been listed here).
We share information with those providers only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf, subject to contracts where applicable. A complete subprocessor list and processing locations have not been published in this policy.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or asset sale, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information as a list of contact details for unrelated third-party marketing based on practices verified in this repository.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
When you cancel a subscription, renewal stops and you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. At the end of that paid period, your published website, its website content, and your saved Business Profile in the product are permanently deleted as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy. We do not intend to retain that business-profile or website-content data after cancellation beyond that schedule.
We may retain billing, tax, invoicing, fraud-prevention, security, and other records for longer periods where required by law or legitimate business needs (for example records held by Stripe or in our accounting systems). Specific retention periods for server logs, authentication tokens, and backup copies have not been documented here.
To request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights, email contact@plumberswebsites.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours. Deletion may not be immediate in every system (for example backups or caches) where copies are removed on a rolling schedule.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We have not verified specific encryption standards, certifications, or audit programs in this repository.
International processing
PlumbersWebsites.com is operated from Spain. Our service providers (including Stripe, hosting, and email providers) may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms). The exact transfer tools used with each provider have not been listed in this policy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, to object to processing, or to receive a portable copy. If you are in the European Economic Area, Spain, or the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email contact@plumberswebsites.com. We aim to respond within 24 hours. You may also sign in at app.plumberswebsites.com for account tools available in the product. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
Children
The Service is intended for plumbing business owners and professionals, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the age defined by applicable law) through the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us once a verified privacy channel is available.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last revised” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate and required by law. Continued use after an update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
